Defending Champions Oakland Return

Oakland University are back, and are looking to defend their title at the Saints x Colleague Rocket League Invitational.

Oakland returns to Windsor with the hopes of repeating as champions of the event. The team went on a perfect run last year, without dropping a series and losing only four games en route to the tournament win. Their run included beating York, TMU and Conestoga in pools, a Semi Finals win against the hometown team of St. Clair, and a grand finals win against Davenport. JWismont will be returning with their previous substitute Tisonic Boom as the core this season, with Peep, a Freshman that found success at the high school level before attending Oakland University, as their third. Peep won the AVGL: Intel Inspires High School Finals just last year. The 18 year-old comes in with the pressure of winning another title with Oakland, but so far he has been able to deliver on the big stage.

Oakland seems to have built a roster capable of performing when it matters. The real test begins on March 10th when the team faces off against some of collegiate’s best.
